What services does Maharjan’s Local Dentures offer?
We offer a wide range of services including full and partial dentures, chrome and flexible dentures, denture repairs and relines, implant-retained dentures, orthodontic appliances, sports mouthguards, nightguards, anti-snoring devices, bleaching trays, and more.
How long does it take to make a denture?
Standard dentures usually take 3–5 weeks. However, we also offer Next Day Dentures for urgent cases, depending on material and case complexity.
Can you repair broken dentures?
Yes, we provide same-day denture repair services for cracked, chipped, or broken dentures. Bring them in early and we’ll usually have them ready the same day.
What are flexible dentures and are they right for me?
Flexible dentures are lightweight, soft, and metal-free options that offer a comfortable fit. They are ideal for people with irregular gums or those looking for a more natural-feeling solution.
Do you make custom mouthguards for sports?
Yes! We make custom-fitted sports mouthguards that offer better protection and comfort than over-the-counter versions.
What’s the benefit of implant-retained dentures?
Implant dentures provide a more stable and secure fit, allowing you to eat, speak, and smile with confidence. They won’t slip or move like traditional dentures.
What is benefit of bleaching teeth while wearing dentures?
Some cases where natural teeth has discoloured due to coffee or smoke can be whitened to match lighter tooth shade available. That will bring more confidence to smile with the dentures.
Which sports need a mouthguard?
A mouthguard is a must for contact and collision sports such as rugby league, rugby union, AFL, hockey, boxing and martial arts. They are also worth wearing for soccer, netball, basketball, cricket, skateboarding and BMX, where a stray ball, elbow or fall can easily damage teeth.
Are custom mouthguards really better than boil-and-bite ones?
Yes. Over-the-counter and boil-and-bite guards have a looser, bulkier fit, are harder to talk and breathe through, and are prone to coming loose during a game. A custom mouthguard is made from a precise mould of your teeth, so it stays in place, absorbs impact more effectively and is more comfortable to wear for the whole match.
Is teeth whitening safe when performed by a dentist?
Yes. All treatments are supervised by dental professionals to minimise sensitivity and gum irritation. Any concerns are addressed throughout the process for safe whitening.
